                                             -About the Artist-


Carla McConnell is a mixed media artist with studios in Pacific Northwest Washington and the greater Phoenix area. For almost 40 years, she has been active in exhibitions and publications both nationally and internationally, lecturing and teaching. Her work has been published in numerous art books and magazines, and is part of corporate and private collections in the US and overseas.

Carla uses varied supplies and techniques in her pieces, including acrylic, watercolor, ink, colored pencil, and printmaking. Subject matter varies greatly and she prefers to work in related series. Often she includes figures, especially women,in her compositions. For the last 25 years she has studied and taught the spiritual art of mandala creation, as well as other art applications.

The artist holds a degree in art and education and is a Charter and Signature Member of The Colored Pencil Society of America. She also has served as a faculty member of the Grunewald Guild for the last 12 years.
